I hate to be the whiny teenager. I really really do (can you hear the but?) but, honestly, at 17, especially one thats been acknowledge as "the responsible one", I think I'm old enough to choose my own hair cut, be it beautiful or the shittiest thing this side of a pair of scissors (I...did not know it was so difficult to spell scico...scisso....engligh equivilant of tijeras). I still think I'm old enough to choose it, shit I'm not even asking for like, a buzzcut, I just want the shit in the back goooone, and I want something that actually looks like me rather than what she wants me to be. I suspect that she's holding on to this because she's starting to recognize that holy shit I'm going to be an adult~ soon (which is bullshit, I'll be legal for shit all but I wont be an adult~ for another...what, 5 years, if that short a time) and she needs to tighten the reins. Which is whatever because, well you'd be amazed how little shit you can get into when you don't have a stable form of transportation. (Please, don't get me started on the bit where she acts annoyed when someone else is providing transportation) I feel about the same way with body mods, though I'll admit that I know enough idiots that I can appreciate the age limit on that (yeah, I know people get shit done anyway whatever). semi-nonsequitor, have I mentioned that both of the male cousins that I grew up with and are months to a year younger than me, have tattoos? Um, bzuh?

So yes, there's that. Shit, I'm not usually one for dramatic shit like getting my hair chopped off without consulting any parental figure but it gets really fucking tempting sometimes.

*hug* I hate whining too, but at least we KNOW we are...some people don't. That's got to be something mildly..ah..uplifting?
I bet it's 'cause you're a girl...especially with the dudes with tats. I get that same BS too. My dad wants me to be a good girl and be ditzy and fashion-savvy, when all I do is laze around in flannel.

Idk, dont even care that they have them and I don't, even if I could get permission I'd still wait until I was 18 to get mine, though there's are kinda crappy. One has his name, the other one his mom's name and they're in the exact same place, right forearm (which is the same place one of their friends has his). I'm just like, um, a little originality please?
Eh, I don't know about you but they're paying for college so, I'll hold of on the FIERY PIT OF PARENT SIZZLING for a little while :D

it's *hair*. 1) it grows back 2)...it's HAIR. you're not asking for tatts (and that makes me just eye roll because seriously, while i'm all for freedom and such , 16 is too young to know for sure you want a tatoo on your body for the res tof your life.)

sadly, I don't and the person who'd cut it lives out someewhere that I'm not confident enough in my driving to get to(damn interstate) but once I decide on something definitely I may very well catch a ride with a friend and go out there.

The tatts? Ugh, I LOVE body mods and, well, I'm me and I think they're dumbasses for doing it. Its probably hypocritical to think that two years will make a difference but not only do I plan on waiting until I'm 18, I have an explanation and a story behind every tattoo idea I have.
